Susan Malinowski, age 87, a 1 1/2 year resident of Lakeland, Florida and formerly from Madison Heights, MI., passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Consulate Health Care Facility in Lakeland, Florida. Susan was born July 25, 1922 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Paul and Annie (Lodjun) Horvath. She married Edmund J. Malinowski on May 8, 1943 at St Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Minersville, PA., and he preceded her in death on April 29, 1996. Susan worked for 30 years as a seamstress for the Ford Motor Company’s Utica Trim Plant and retired in 1982. Her love of life were her children and grandchildren and she enjoyed cooking, sewing, and being in her garden. Susan is survived by her two children: Edmund P. (Gwen Snow) Malinowski of Washington Mi., and Sandra (Richard) Schulte of Lakeland, Florida. Grandchildren include Michelle (David) Weber and their children Lauren, Lindsay, Allison, & Benjamin, Wendy (Robert) Czachorowski and their children Abrial, Morgan, Jennifer Magee and her son Anthony, Zachary (Lena) Dahl and their son Izak, Jessica Dahl, and Joshua Dahl. Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 14 at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church, Romeo with burial to follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 2-9 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
