Sydney "Syd" Lee Brauer

Sydney “Syd” Lee Brauer, age 68, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. Syd was born December 9, 1951 in Mt Clemens, MI., the daughter of Robert and * VanNorstrand. She married Peter A. Brauer in 1974 in Armada, Michigan. After graduating from Macomb Community College with a law enforcement degree, Syd began working as a dispatcher for the Romeo Fire/Police Department where she worked for over 37 years. She enjoyed reading books, horror movies, antique shows, and most importantly her family.  Always a great host, cook, and supported anyone who needed it.  A very self-less and loving woman. Syd is survived by her husband Peter, sons: Alexander (Lindsey) of St Clair Shores & Jeremiah (Amada) of Rochester Hills. Also survived by grandchildren Avery, Jackson, & Elaina along with 3 sisters: Roberta (Dennis) Balaze of Oxford, Erin (Bill) Rose of Shelby Twp., and Kyle (Jim) Allie of Berkley, MI.
