Thelma L. Niemiec

Thelma Louise Niemiec of Romeo, Michigan, age 97 passed away October 21, 2022. Thelma was born to Roy and Hilda Knight (Calvin) on August 7, 1925 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Thelma married Albin Joseph Niemiec on February23, 1957. Together they enjoyed 58 years of marriage before Albin passed away on Feb 17, 2015.

Thelma is survived her son Gregory (his wife Kimberly) Niemiec. Loving grandmother of Donovan and Rochelle and step-grandmother of Brittany, Gabriele, Naomi and Haley. Her sister Dorothy (Napoletano) and her sister-in-law Bernie (Knight), as well as many nieces and nephews also survive her.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Jean (her husband Bill) Adams, Doris (her husband Jay) Thrift, her brother Ed Knight , and her brother-in-law Tom Napoletano

Throughout her life Thelma remained dedicated to her entire family, taking pleasure in watching them grow and staying connected to them. She was blessed by a strong faith in the Lord and loved children, nature, gardening, and raising butterflies.

Visitation will be held Tuesday October 25, 2022 from 12-2pm with the Funeral Service starting at 2pm at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, Mi.

Burial will be at Christian Memorial at 3:30pm immediately following the funeral service, (521 East Hamlin Road, Rochester Hills, Mi 48307).
