Theresa Dettloff

Theresa Dettloff, age 48, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2008 at her home.  Theresa was born October 7, 1959 in Grosse Pointe, MI., the daughter of Alex and Rosalia (Bartolone) Boyce.  She married Darryl Dettloff on September 18, 1996 in Romeo.  Theresa worked 18 years in the Romeo School System as a dispatcher, driver, and in the food and building services departments.   She also worked in the Utica School System in the transportation department.  Her hobbies included gardening, being with her family & friends, and being with her husband Darryl drag racing their car.     Theresa is survived by her husband Darryl, children:  Brandon Parker of Grosse Pointe Park, Justin Parker of Auburn Hills, Laura Parker of Washington Twp., Nicole (William) Hearold, Justine Dettloff, & Andrew Dettloff all of Romeo.  Her mother Rosalia Boyce of Romeo survives along with her siblings, Ann Marie Boyce of Rochester and John (Susan) Boyce of Washington Twp. She was preceded in death by her father Alex.       Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo with Fr. Steven Reckker officiating.  Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 5-9 and on Wednesday from 1-9 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo.
