Thomas D. Walker age 74 a longtime resident of Romeo and a 5 year resident of Imlay City passed away on April 29, 2022 at his home with his wife by his side. Tom was born on August 20, 1947 the son of Edward and Gladys (Bushe) Walker. He was a graduate of Romeo High School class of 1966 and was a powerful running back for their football team. In 1966 he was married to Gina Quinn and they had three children. On October 22, 1982 he married Sallie Champine and they spent 39 years together raising 3 more children. Tom worked at Pepsi Cola Co. as a driver/salesman and union Steward for 33 years and was known as the “Pepsi man” by many people. He often said how fortunate he was to work at a job he loved so much. After retiring from Pepsi he spent another 10 years working for the Romeo Community School system as a bus driver and delivering food for the lunch programs. He enjoyed hunting, sports and coaching little league baseball over the years. He was an excellent carpenter, building projects ranging from large to small however his main, was always his family. The pride and unconditional love he had for each one of them came straight from his heart and was a beautiful testament to his kind nature, generous spirit and loving soul❤ Tom is survived by his loving wife Sallie Walker of Imlay City. Children; Todd (Heather) Walker of Romeo, Chris (Lynne) of Romeo, Stacy (Dave) Warner of Romeo, Andrew (Janice) of Leonard, Brad Walker of Oakland Twp., and Mollie (Nolan) Snyder of Tennessee. Grandchildren; Quinn Walker, Avery Walker, Danny Albert, Drew Walker, Ella Walker, Tyler Walker, Charlie Warner, Kelly Walker, Kevin Walker, Zaida Norman, Zahir Jackson, Luna Snyder, and Grayson Snyder. Siblings; Allen (Pat) Walker of California, Jerry (Diane) Walker of Virginia, Ron (Nancy) Walker of Romeo, and Sharon (Larry) Pallister of Washington Twp. Tom was pre deceased by his brother and sister in law Joe (Elaine) Walker of Richmond. A celebration of Tom's life will take place on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Romeo VFW, Striber-McVicar Post # 2052 from 2-8 PM.
