Thomas J. Friedli, age 64, a resident of Marlette, MI., and formerly from Washington Township, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Sanilac Medical Care Facility in Sandusky, Michigan. Tom was born June 16, 1949 in Mt Clemens, Michigan, the son of Jack and Arlene (Engelbrecht) Friedli. Tom worked many years at the General Motor Assembly Plant in Pontiac till health reasons forced him to retire in 2005. His hobbies include gardening and hunting. Tom is survived by his wife Debbie of Waterford, MI, mother Arlene Friedli of Washington Township and siblings: Gary Friedli of Armada Twp., LouAnn Friedli, Janet Friedli, and Susan (Mark) Marcereau all of Washington Township. Also survived by many nieces & nephews and was preceded in death by his father Jack in 1993 and brother John in 2007. Funeral services will take place on Saturday at noon at St Peter’s Lutheran Church in Macomb Township with Pastor Kenneth Wagener officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s/Our Redeemer Cemetery in Shelby Township. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan and from 11 AM-noon on Saturday at the Church. Donations for Parkinson’s Disease or to American Heart would be appreciated.
