Thomas J. Peyton

Thomas J. Peyton, age 87, a 52 year resident of the Warren, Michigan area, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the Boulevard Hills Health Center in Rochester Hills, MI. Thomas was born November 8, 1921 in Kentucky, the son of Oscar and Virgie(Nickell) Peyton. He married Mamie Laura Stewart and she preceded him in death on February 22, 1996. Thomas worked for the Sterling Heights Chrysler Stamping Plant for 30 plus years before retiring in 1984. His hobbies include going to casinos, garage sales, and horse racing. He was proud to serve his Country in the Navy as a cook during WW II. Thomas is survived by his children, Paula Howard of Warren & Thomas (Francine) Peyton of Kentucky. Grandchildren include Tina (Mark) Binkley of Imlay City, Linda (Kelly Ginther) Harris and John Harris both of Warren. Great grandchildren include Noah, Adam, Elyse, Kelsey, Hannah, Hunter, Brian, & Isabell. Siblings include Talmadge, Daniel, Ina, Katherine, & Nell. He was preceded in death by siblings Nina and Rebecca. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Mark Evans of the St John Lutheran Church of Romeo officiating. Burial will follow in Willowgrove Cemetery in Armada. Visitation will be on Friday February 13, 2009 from 3-9.
