Thomas Joseph Wiley Sr. (86) passed away on February 9, 2024 with his family lovingly by his side.
Tom was born December 5th, 1937 to Alvin and Viera Wiley in Detroit, Michigan. He was the third of five children and he worked hard, whether at the family business, Wiley’s Cleaners in Detroit, or later driving a truck for over thirty years.
In June of 1963, Tom met the love of his life, Lenore, at Harry Moore’s Supper Club, where he was a singer and she was a waitress. They were married on May 2, 1964 and one of their many wedding festivities was held at Harry Moore’s.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Lenore (Knoche) Wiley, his children of whom he was endlessly proud; Thomas (Christy) Wiley Jr., Colleen (Mike) Baumgarten, Cathleen Wiley and René (Andy) Perrin, his grandchildren whom he adored Veronica, Rachel (Devin), Miranda (Preston), Jacob, Kevin (Taylor), Mia and Liv, his 2 beautiful great-grandchildren Cainan and Olive with a third on the way, his brother Wayne (Janet) Wiley, as well as many extended family members and loved ones.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Viera, his siblings Arline Pacholski, Ila Wolfenden and Jerry Wiley, as well as other extended family members and friends who we know were all ready to greet him as he left this earth (most likely with a card game set and ready to play).
Tom will be remembered for his laughter, the music he shared, joyful boat trips and all of the love he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them. He will be missed dearly.
In keeping with Tom’s wishes there are no services planned. A celebration of life will occur in the summer.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Henry Ford Hospice Macomb County.
Local arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, Mi.
