Thomas "Tom" Lomakoski

Thomas (Tom) Lomakoski  77, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Advent Florida Hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was born at Booth Hospital in Romeo, Michigan on May 31, 1943, Michigan. He was a graduate of Romeo High in 1961. Tom married Marietha Seifert on June 25, 1966, at St. John Lutheran Church, in Romeo. From 1966-1968, he served with the U.S. Army in Korea. He worked for 40 years in the building business as a salesman for commercial and residential sales.  Growing up on 26 mile road where Home Depot now stands, Tom fished and hunted with his brothers Martin and John in rural Washington.  After he and Marietha retired they moved in 2008 to Daytona Beach. Tom loved to fish with his grandson in Daytona and also the Florida Keys and Key West. He spent many days a week golfing with a group in Daytona. For many years he was part of the Romeo Café Golf League at the Romeo Golf Course. He is survived by his wife Marietha, daughter Jennifer (Mike) Copioli and grandson Dominic of Romeo. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Della (Robertoy) Lomakoski, two brothers Martin in 1998 and John in 1999. Funeral services will be private with burial of cremated remains at a later date at the Romeo Cemetery.
