Trevor M. Sargeant, age 66, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. Trevor was born in Barbados, the son of Alfred and Naomi (Walker) Sargeant. Trevor moved to Michigan at an early age and lived at the Hough Dairy/Orchard farm in Bruce Township. After graduating from Almont High School, Trevor moved to the Boston area and received an Associate Degree in Science from Roxbury Community College. He then worked for an architect firm in the Boston area for a few years, then moved back to the Romeo area and worked for the railroads at their Pontiac yard. After retiring from the railroad, Trevor then worked at the Ford Trim plant in Shelby Township for a few years. He then worked with Marvin Cushingberry as a basketball coach for O.C.C. and was well known in the area as a great cook. Trevor is survived by his wife Chandra of Auburn Hills, children: Shanan (William) Burress of Grand Rapids, Mi., Sherris (Ansley) Paul of Miami, Florida, brother Anthony (Pat) Sargeant of Romeo, and sister Judy (Wesley) Puckerin of Windsor, Ontario along with 3 grandchildren. Trevor was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ronny. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 12 from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home 11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo). Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 13 at 11 AM at the Funeral Home.
