Vartkes "Vic" Baratian

Vartkes (Vic) Baratian, age 89, a 43 year resident of Addison Township, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Vic was born July 24, 1928 in Massena, New York, the son of the late Aram and Arak (Tarpinian) Baratian. He married the former Kathleen Keating on June 22, 1968 in Birmingham, Michigan. Vic retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1995, working at the Tractor Plant when it started in Romeo and continued working when it switched over to the engine plant. Upon retirement, he spent more time doing what he loved to do, golfing and watching U of M Football games. Along with his family, they were long time members of St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. Vic is survived by his wife Kathy of Leonard, children: Marcus (April) Baratian of Ohio, Marissa (Damon Van Vessen) of Seattle, Washington and Chris (Jackie) of Maryland. Also survived by grandchildren Nicholas, Benjamin, Taylor, & Reilly along with sisters Jenny Sellers of Maplevalley, Washington and Vi Baratian of New York City. Vic was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Mary Williams & Sue Hamamjian. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 20 at 11 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo with visitation on Friday from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
