Vera M. Frost

Vera Frost, age 96 passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the Pines of Lapeer Nursing facility. Vera was born May 19, 1924 in Bremerton, Washington, the daughter of William & Beatrice (Schlagel) Parrott. She married James E. Frost on December 31, 1941 at the First Baptist Church in Romeo and he preceded her in death on August 30, 2005. She was a homemaker most of her life, working for a short time at Stony Creek Orchards in Bruce Township. She attended the United Methodist Church at both Leonard & Addison Township. She is survived by her children: Larry (Phyllis) of Winchester, KY., Lonnie (Cathy) of Almont, Jim (Beth) of Lapeer, Jeff of Leonard, and Debbie Hickmott of Oxford. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, brothers Charles of Missouri, Morrie (Fran) of Florida, Billy of Texas, Frances Bates of Tennessee, Janice (Robert) Knight of Croswell, and Robbie of Holland, MI. Preceded in death by son-in-law Mark Hickmott and brother Lawrence. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 10 AM the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Thompson of the Addison Community Church officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 3 PM to 8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Burial to follow at the Powell Cemetery in Washington Township, Michigan.
