Victor W.G. Wolfs, age 80, a 37 year resident of Romeo, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at his home. Victor was born February 10, 1934 in Brunssum, Netherlands, the son of Theodore and Martha (Henskens) Wolfs. He married the former Julie Ann Jerneycic on October 14, 1967 at St James Catholic Church in Ferndale and she preceded him in death on June 15, 2007. In 1956 he moved to the United States and joined the U.S. Army. He earned an Engineering Degree and worked at many job shops in the Detroit area, and then retired the GM Tech center in Warren in the late 1980’s. Upon retiring from GM., he worked as an Engineer Consultant for many years. He loved to tinker, taking things apart and putting them back together. He belonged to St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo and to the Carpathia Club in Utica. He loved his pets, especially his cat Oscar. Victor is survived by his two sons: Theodore V.G. (Theo) and his wife Lisa Marie of Sterling Heights and Christopher F.V. of Royal Oak. Also survived by his siblings: Walter, Theodore, Martha, Hanny and Mia. He was preceded in death by one sister Catarina. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo with burial to follow at Guardian Angels Cemetery in Oakland Township. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Donations to the Michigan Humane Society would be appreciated.
