The morning of August 29, 2015, precious Victoria Lynn (Sharpe) Willey was called home to Jesus. Her 7 year battle with Ovarian cancer is over. She died surrounded by her family. She died very peacefully. She was born March 24, 1966 at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan to Sandy and Dr James Sharpe. Moved to Port Huron in 1967. Vicki attended Trinity Lutheran Elementary, Holland Woods Intermediate, and Port Huron Northern High school, graduating 1985. Attended Adrian College where she earned BBA in Management in 1989, and a Masters in Elementary Education in 1992 from John Carroll University. She taught in Utica Community School system for 8 years before reaching her most important role of a stay at home mom. Her family was so important to her. Making sure her children were looked after and by whom was of utmost importance. She was very involved with her children, their schoolmates and friends, encouraging them with school, church and recreational activities. Being able to make the loudest ear-piercing whistle with her lips and fingers was her trademark. August 7,1993 Vicki married Timothy Douglas Willey on the lawn of her parents lakeside home. Truly a most beautiful day. Lived in Casco township for 5 years and moved to Romeo in 1999. As you know Vicki was a fighter and she fought her cancer as hard as anyone could have. As you would expect she did it “Vicki” style. From attaching “Jesus Juice” stickers to her chemo bags, having special t-shirts made and never wearing “that wig”. Her strength and optimism were contagious. During her chemo treatments, she shared her experiences with others facing the battle with her. Made hats for others in the chemo room getting treatments. Sitting and praying with others that may be new or having difficulty. Always a bright sunbeam when entering the infusion room to staff and fellow patients. Vicki enjoyed going to her kids WARM sports events, gardening, crafts, scrapbooking, the beach and traveling. She was an awesome wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. We are all extremely grateful for her calming presence, her contagious snorting laugh, her mother’s intuition, her mama bear protection, her listening ear, her willingness to serve anybody…wholeheartedly. Truly God has many crowns waiting for her. Vicki is survived by her parents, Jim and Sandy. Her husband of 22 years, Tim. Her children Abigail, Austin and Jayson. Her sisters Sarah Sharpe, and Laura Payne. Also many nieces, nephews, and cousins, uncles and aunts. Also, her most special friends, Bethany DeCrane, Shelly Rizzo and Teri Butcher. She was preceded in death by Grandma Elizabeth Browne, her sweet sister in law Susan Parsons and Grandma S. Altha Sharpe. Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 3, 2015 at 11 AM at Macomb Christian Church with Pastor Andy Timm officiating, 13845 22 Mile Rd., Shelby Twp., Michigan 48315. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church, and the burial will take place at 3 PM at Mt. Vernon Cemetery (Washington T.
