Viola Evoline Ladner (nee Petzold), born September 10, 1927 in Granite Oklahoma, passed away on January 10, 2025 in Imlay City, Michigan.
Viola worked on the family farm, and helped take care of the family home from a young age. Finished the eighth grade and began working away from the farm, also cleaning house and caring for a neighbor. In 1944 she began working as a Clerk for the United States Postal Service in Rochester, Michigan where she met her love, Darwin L Ladner, they married in 1957.
Her beloved husband Darwin, her oldest son Dennis (Jill) and her brother Leon Petzold proceeded her in death.
She is survived by her second son Alan (Dana) of Kalkaska Michigan, and her youngest son Neal (Wendy) of Dryden Michigan. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral Service and visitation will be held at St. Johns Lutheran Church (246 Benjamin St. in Romeo, MI) Friday, January 17, 2025 at 10:30 am. Visitation from 9:30-10:30 am
She will be laid to rest at McCafferty Cemetery, in Bruce Township Michigan. (Close family only)
