Violet Mabel Lange (Brinker) passed away peacefully on September 12, 2018 at the age of 93. Violet was born on the Ides (15) of March in 1925. Daughter of Minnie Wolgast and Edward Brinker. Married Leo Lange in 1942. Vilet was a remarkable woman, raised 5 sons, and was a licensed hairdresser at the age of 14. She graduated from Famous Artist Course in Commercial art and Ilustration in 1956 and graduated photo coloring in 1957. Vilet taught Art classes in Utica and Romeo Schools Adult Education for many years. One of her many achievements was first prize in centennial art contest, “Spring Dance –Halfway House” shown in Coventry Cathedral in England. She was a member of Romeo Art Guild. Along with her husband Leo, they were long time members of St. Clemens Church. Her husband Leo of 72 years precedes Vilet in death, along with her brothers, Bernard, Lester, Clem, Earl and her beloved sister Evelyn. Her sons survive her along with their families. Leo (Dianne), Ken (Mary Ann), Jerry, Dan and Jim (Lori). Grandchildren include Dayna (Steve Brunner), Lauri (Richard Thom), Keith (Andrea) and Kelly (Neil Hackley). Great Grandchildren, Lauren, Mitchell, Thomas, Douglas, Peter, Kate, Lexi, Josie and Kinsey. A special thank you to the staff at Northpointe Village of Utica for the loving care they gave Vilet and Leo Sr. over the past years. Memorial Mass will take place on Thursday October 18, at 10 A.M. at St. Clements Catholic Church in Romeo, Michigan. Internment will be at 2 P.M. at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Local arrangements made by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
