Virginia L. White

Virginia L. White, age 88, a 45 year resident of the Bruce Township area, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at her home. Virginia was born April 26, 1923 in Detroit, the daughter of Chester and Ella Mae (Reynolds) Olney. She married Alfred L. White on August 2, 1947, in Detroit and he preceded her in death on May 25, 1988. Virginia was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Romeo. She enjoyed all types of family activities, along with being active with her church and enjoying her church friends. Virginia is survived by her children: Christine Wendt of Lynn Township, Carolyn & Cathy White both of Ypsilanti, John (Kim) White of Bruce Township, and Amy (Troy) Miron of Brown City. Also survived by nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and her brother Roger Olney of Clarkston, MI. Virginia was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Clay. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, July 12 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with the Rev. Jonathan Enright of the Troy Christian Chapel officiating. Burial will take place in the Bruce Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, July 11 from 2-9 PM.
