Virginia Mary Hermann, age 78, passed away on December 7, 2020 in Romeo, Michigan. She was at home surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren. Virginia was born on June 1, 1942 in Mt. Clemens, MI. She graduated from St. Louis High School in 1962 and met Rudy shortly after, marrying him in 1966. Eventually they settled in Romeo and together raised a happy family of four children and seven grandchildren. In 1984 Rudy and Ginnie bought property in Port Austin and treasured many years on Lake Huron; summer days were spent on the boat with family and friends or helping to restore the lighthouse. Ginnie loved being at Walt Disney World and took many trips there over the years. She loved traveling, whether it was an Alaskan cruise or vineyards in Greece – she was always willing to pack a bag at a moment’s notice. A favorite pastime was gambling, where she got a kick out of running the mostly male-dominated blackjack tables wherever she was. Above all, Meems loved her family immeasurably and was an incredible daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Virginia is survived by her children, Margaret Blasius (Kenneth), Katherine Rizzo (Gregory), Rudolph Hermann III (Amber) and Heidi Hermann; her grandchildren, Kyle, Sarah & Jason Blasius; Greg & Ari Rizzo; Rudy & Brady Hermann; siblings, Nickie Greenfield & Ed Snay. Virginia is predeceased by her husband, Rudolph Hermann Jr.; mother, Margaret Allor; father, Edwin Snay; and sisters Joani Hahn, Margaret & Katherine Snay.
