Vivian Hutchinson

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt Vivian Crooks Hutchinson died Thursday, July 2, 2009. She was born August 16, 1914 to Thomas and Lena Crooks in Patton, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband George, son James, daughter Joan Gates, two grandsons Paul Gates and Alan Martin Jr. and all of her brothers Bill, Paul, Albert and Phil and her sisters Pearl Gill, Hazel Weakland, Helen (Dolly) Gabrielson and her twin Lillian (Toots) Kachmar. She left behind her son George Jr. and his wife Kathleen (Kilcoyne), her daughter Pamela and her husband Alan Martin as well as eight grandchildren, Kimberly Villanueva, Dominic, James and Dawn Gates, Jill (Hans) Johnson, Linda Hutchinson, Jennifer Martin and Carrie (Ben) Boyd and eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She worked as a nurse in Johnstown, PA at Conamaugh Memorial Hospital before moving George and Pamela to St. Clair Shores, MI. in 1966, where she worked at Cottage Hospital in Grosse Pointe. She retired from Cottage in 1982. In retirement, she enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved life, loved God, had a great laugh, a quirky sense of humor, and was a classy woman and an impeccable dresser. We all have very fond memories and funny stories about the times she spent with us. Memorial visitation will be at Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, on Sat. July 4, from 10 AM-4 PM She will be transported to Patton, Pa. and there will be a service at 11 AM at Saints Luke & Thomas Episcopal Church in Patton. PA with Rev. Carrie Klukas officiating . She will be laid to rest next to her husband, daughter, and son and surrounded by her siblings in Fairview Cemetery in Patton. Visitation: Saturday at the Henry M.
