Wanda Grace Hansen

Wanda Grace Hansen, age 77, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Romeo Nursing Center after a nine year battle with ovarian cancer. Wanda was born February 1, 1935 in Detroit, the daughter of Joe and Margaret (Holycross) Kroll. Wanda and her family were long time members of St John Lutheran Church where she was active in Bible Studies for many years and in her spare time she enjoyed needle pointing . She married Paul Hansen 56 years ago and together they have two children: Lisa (Ron) Schocke of Romeo and Mike (Becky) Hansen of Washington Township. Also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Michael (Jackie) Schocke, Andrew Schocke, Stephen (Brooke) Schocke, Christopher (Erica) Hansen, Paul Hansen Jr., and Alyssa Hansen. Her great grandchildren who recently joined the family include Brendan, Addison, & Renee Schocke and Everlyn Hansen. She is also survived by her brother David ((Betty) Kroll and many nieces and nephews. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents,Sandi Friedl daughter of Margaret Friedl, and sister Margaret Friedl. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 6 at 1 PM at St John Lutheran Church of Romeo with Rev. Mark Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 3-9 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Donations to St John Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
