Wayne N. Smithson

Wayne N. Smithson, age 64, a 26 year resident of Romeo passed away on Saturday September 14, 2013. Wayne was born on October 27, 1948 in Flint Michigan the son of Robert and Arlene (Gage) Smithson. Wayne married Carol (Blakely) on December 16, 1972. Wayne proudly served his Country in the Army during the Vietnam War and earned a Purple Heart. Wayne loved hiking, camping, being a motorcycle enthusiast, western movies, archery, working with the veterans, and helping out the boy scouts. Wayne is survived by his wife Carol of Romeo. Children Trisha (Alfred) Socias of North Carolina and Andrew (Shelly) of California. Father Robert of Columbiaville. Brother Joseph of Columbiaville. Also, four grandchildren Steven, Andrew, Josephine, and Zachary. He was preceded in death by his mother Arlene in 2013. Funeral services will take place on Friday September 20, 2013 at 7 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday September 20, 2013 from 4-8.
