Werner W. Kort

Werner W. Kort, age 85, a 18 year resident of Washington Twp., passed away on June 26, 2013 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. He was born on July 5, 1927 in Stettin, Germany the son of Hans Fritz Kort and Martha Helene (Nengebauer). He married Muriel N. Atkinson in 1947 at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church Detroit, Michigan. Werner retired in 1990 from A.C.C.O. as a Chief Engineer. He loved to golf, play cards, gamble, bowl, and was also very competitive. Werner is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Muriel of Washington Twp.. Children include Larry (Bonnie) of South Carolina, Robert (Lynn) of Arkansas, Michael (Marsha) of Detroit, Kathleen (Bill) Watts of Ortonville, and Gregory of Grosse Pointe Woods. Werner is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Saturday June 29, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, Romeo Michigan. Visitation will be on Friday June 28, 2013 from 1-8. A rosary by the Knights of Columbus, Council # 7018 will be recited on Friday at 7 PM at the Funeral Home. Arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Visitation: Visitation will be on Friday June 28, 2013 from 1-8. Services: Funeral services will take place on Saturday June 29, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, Romeo Michigan. Interment: Irwin Cremation Service
