William George Beckett

William George Beckett, age 68, lifelong resident of Washington Township, recently of North Port Florida passed away on November 29, 2018. William was born on March 9, 1950 to Leon and Madeline (Gardner) Beckett in Detroit. He worked as a part time Washington Township firefighter for 34 years, and retired from GM after 33 years of service. He loved to ride motorcycles, and spend time with his family and friends; especially playing euchre and/or pinochle. William is survived by his wife Monica (Saad), son Todd (Rebecca), stepson Brandon (Jessica) Heath, stepdaughter Judith Heath; brothers Leon, Robert (Mary), Daniel, and David (Mary); grandchildren Mackenzie and Grayson Beckett and Hudson Heath. William was preceded in death by his brother Michael. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 9-11:30AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, MI.
