William George Fisher Jr. of Oxford Michigan passed away on January 24, 2018 in Zephryhills Florida, he was 79 years old. William was born in Detroit on January 5th, 1939. He was the son of William and Ruby (Rubian) Fisher Sr. William was from Romeo but has lived in Oxford since 1993. William worked for 36 years at General Motors and retired as a superintendent in the Design Studio. His hobby was dancing, especially clogging. He loved farm animals and especially being involved with Polled Herfords. He also was an avid golfer. William married his wife Julie (Ashton) in 1991 at St. John Lutheran Church Romeo, Michigan. William is survived by his loving wife Julie of Oxford. Children Denise (Charles) Polin of Lupton, Diane Bauman of Oxford, William (Lisa) Fisher of Virginia, Jill (Dave) Powers of Oxford, and Stepson Larry Derrick of Oak Park. He was also survived by his brother Donald (Sandy) Fisher and his sister Patsy (Mel) Swindale. William also had many loving grandchildren: Craig (Christy) Kowalski, Heather (Christopher) Bird, Ryan Fisher, Danielle Bauman, Forrest Fisher, Aaron Stuk, Amanda Bauman, Fisher Stuk, and Garrett Stuk. He was also survived by his great grandchildren Blake Kowalski and Bryce Kowalski. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, January 29, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church (246 Benjamin, Romeo Michigan 48065) at 10 AM. with Reverend Martin Gehring will be officiating and burial will follow at Lakeville Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 28th from 2-8 PM. Donations can be make to Juvenile Diabetes.
